Supplies For Industry began 29 years ago under the name of MR Safety - Supplies For Industry, operating predominately as a safety footwear supplier.
The business grew from strength to strength and soon the safety footwear aspect of the business was being matched by janitorial and hygiene supplies. In 1989, the name MR Safety was dropped leaving simply ‘Supplies For Industry’ as the main name and focus of the business. In 1994 Supplies For Industry Limited was registered with Companies House, but the company remained a sole trader until January 2005.
Supplies For Industry currently sits in office and warehousing facilities in excess of 50,000 square feet. To meet market demand the company has its own in-house embroidery and heat seal department. With brand new heat sealing and design machines and embroidery systems less than 2 years old, the company proudly boasts some of the best and most state of the art equipment in the UK. This in-house design capability allows the company to meet the ever growing customer demand for branded goods as well as being in control of lead times and pricing for all aspects of the business.
The current payroll of the company consists of 22 employees. There are five delivery vehicles which are on the road every day and a carrier service is used for national deliveries.
At present over 3,000 customers are serviced nationwide and this is growing on a daily basis. Supplies For Industry Limited holds a number of high profile national accounts but is delighted to continue to supply smaller, often local companies, providing a cost effective and excellent service for all work sectors alike.
